A Celebration of Life Service may be held days or weeks following the death and, like a memorial service, does not include the presence of the deceased. There may be a religious orator or funeral celebrant leading the service, but the atmosphere is more relaxed; the overall tone, more celebratory in nature. Oftentimes, everyone is invited to participate and share memories or stories.
The service can be held in the funeral home, church or other venue with private visitation of family and close friends. There may be designated speakers, special musical productions (live music), or personalized video and musical tributes performed.
