Good morning Michael, on behalf of my entire family, I want to thank you for managing our mother’s funeral arrangements. Your professionalism, experience and sensitivity to every detail made this difficult experience a bit easier. As I said during our meeting, we’ve lived in the area for 30+ years, have driven by, but never imagined we would be planning our mother’s service with Michaels one day. Thank you again and know that you will be highly recommended to family, friends and local residents. Kind regards.— Gerilynn Morris / Wood Family, September 18, 2014
When our mother passed away suddenly we didn’t know how to plan for her service. We looked online at funeral homes that had warmth and staff that were caring and found both at Michaels. We mainly spoke with Michael who was readily available and compassionate, however everyone at Michaels was very kind. We highly recommend Michaels because they guided us through a difficult process and even arranged to have the Air Force present for our mother’s service, so that she could be honored as a veteran. In addition, the video montage that was created for us was heartfelt and the pianist who played at the opening of the service made the surroundings pleasant. All of these aspects are important because when a loved one passes away you are not emotionally or physically able to cope with tasks like this. Thank you very much Michael and staff for helping our family with everything! Words cannot express our gratitude!— Sara Kero Slaybough & Family
I would like to thank Michael’s Funeral Home in Schaumburg, Illinois for assisting in a wonderful and caring Celebration of Life service for my son, USAF SrA Sumner L. Cowan (Retired) on 5 December 2009.
The staff at Michaels, especially Michael himself, were so helpful in producing guest books, memory cards and thank you notes per our specifications. The establishment was very clean, tastefully decorated and we had lots of help in setting up our memorial items. We were given access to two widescreen monitors for showing slideshows. They also downloaded the music we wanted played during the service and gave us a CD of the music which we had chosen.
Michael also put us in contact with the local VFW Post, the Patriot Guard Riders and the Warriors Watch Riders. The ceremony went wonderfully and was quite beautiful and poignant. Michael was truly wonderful at assisting us in this horrible time of the loss of our son.
I would encourage anyone needing funeral/memorial services for their loved ones to utilize the kind, caring and professional services of Michaels Funeral Home in Schaumburg, Illinois.— Karrie Anne M.
Our experience was excellent in every regard. Arranging services was simple, and we felt we were given a very personalized and warm reception by the Michaels’ staff. Michael, the owner, personally greeted us while we made arrangements. The facilities are elegant, and well-appointed. Carpets, lighting, seating, and reception area were nicer than other places I’ve been. There is a small kitchenette complete with refrigerator, coffee service, and counter space and seating for nibbles & refreshments. Costs are very reasonable. We did not feel pressured nor rushed in any way, even though our service ran a little late. Parking is ample, the home is easy to find from the street, and is not far from major expressways & tollways.— John Vales
