David G Bank, 84, of Schaumburg Illinois passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2019 with his family at his side. David was born on June 2nd, 1935 in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents Leon and Helene Bank. He graduated from St. Rita High School and then married his high school sweetheart, the late Carole (Mooi) Bank. They were married on Valentine’s Day, 1958 and lived in Schaumburg for 50 years.

David led an interesting life that included being in the US Army; as a high school boxer, first-place winning marathon runner, bonsai hobbyist, voracious reader, seventh grade Catechist, and lover of all sports – but especially the Cubs and Chicago Bears. David was a long-time member of the local writers group the Schaumburg Scribes and has written many stories about his own life. He and Carole loved their two Welsh corgis and spent many hours walking the dogs and visiting friends in Schaumburg’s parks.

David loved his siblings, nieces and nephews and they will remember fondly the fun and love they shared over the years. David retired from Lucent Technologies in 1994 after 38 years with AT&T Engineering. David is preceded in death by his best friend and wife, Carole; his loving parents Leon and Helene (Radtke) Bank; his devoted sister Carol L’Herault (Bank) of Wisconsin; sister-in-law Karen (Cervinka) Bank of Illinois, nephew Matthew L’Herault and their two Welsh corgis: Humphrey and Gunther. David is survived by his loving brother Larry and sister-in-law Glenda of South Carolina; his fun-loving nephews Marc (Gina), Mitch (Sara), Marty and Marshall L’Herault and Lary (Rhonda) Bank, and niece Michelle Bank. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors.

She was the loving wife of 67 years to the late Patrick; adoring mother of Kathleen, Maureen Ann (Robert) Wells, Colleen (Mike) Kudia, Michael (Karen) and Eileen (Walter) Hushion; beloved grandmother of Amy, Jesse, Patrick, Daniel, Aaron, Megan, Daniel, Ryan, Kaitlin, Kelly, Kayla, Kara, Kylie, Kallen and Adam; fond great-grandmother of 14; cherished sister of Sherry Stanger; and dear friend to many. Evy enjoyed golfing, bowling, casinos and traveling, particularly on cruise ships.

She was the beloved cousin of Marguerite (the late Fred) Piekarz, Tom (Sandra) Burnitz, Dolores Kochanek and Barbara Bansmer; friend to many, especially her dear friend Olive Szymoniuk. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

John F. “Jack” Morrin, 89, a resident of Schaumburg for 46 years and formerly of the South East Side of Chicago was born on August 11, 1930 in Chicago to Arthur and Susan (nee Rogowski), and passed away peacefully on September 22, 2019 in Hoffman Estates. He was a proud US Army Veteran serving as a Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. He was Director of HR for Snap On Tools in Kenosha, WI for over 17 years. He was an avid boater and enjoyed the Chain of Lakes and Lake of the Ozarks.

Jack was the adoring husband of 46 wonderful years to Patricia (nee Wutke); loving father of John, Michael, Kevin (Emily), Tim (Susan) and Kathy; fond grandfather of Erica; beloved stepfather of 5; dear brother of the late Arthur; dear friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Charlotte B. “Betty” Delahunty (nee Hitch), 88, resident of Schaumburg since 1977 and formerly of the North Side of Chicago was born on September 7, 1931 in Chicago to the late Avery and the late Mary (nee Brady), and passed away peacefully on September 18, 2019 in Inverness.

Betty previously worked as a CNA at Friendship Village, and was also a long-time volunteer for the Schaumburg Park District Senior Center, Election Judge, and Schaumburg Township Senior Group. She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling, and travelling. She loved being with, talking to and helping people.

Adoring wife of 68 years to Kevin Barrie; loving mother of the late Kevin, late Michael, Dennis (Melissa), Karen (Craig) Koht, and Kathleen (Brad) Jensen; loved grandmother of Shane and Brady Koht, Rebecca, Danielle and Patrick Delahunty, and Kristen, Erik and Kelly Jensen; beloved sister of the late Avery; her twin brother. Clifton “Chris” W. Howard, a resident of Schaumburg, was born on July 12, 1960 in Hazel Crest, IL to Bobby Joel and Darlene Kay (nee Fischer). The eldest of five children, he passed away on August 30, 2019 with his loving husband at his side. He died from complications from cancer surgery.

Upon graduation from Crystal Lake High School, Clif enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served onboard aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf during the Iran Hostage Crisis. After his first tour of duty, Clif re-enlisted and was assigned to special IT projects for The Department of Defense in North Chicago where he was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
After his honorable discharge from his eight years in the Navy, Clif entered the Information Technology field. He began as a programmer analyst for Kemper Insurance while earning his associate degree from Columbia College. He moved on to Boise Cascade as a Data Base Analyst and completed his bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt University. He became Director at Anixter International for 9 years, and then Chief Information Officer for Sage Enterprises. In 2001, Clif completed Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management program. Clif finished his career at Staples/Quill serving for 12 years as Vice President of Information Technology, eCommerce and Business Intelligence. He retired in 2013.

Clif loved cooking. He took online cooking courses and became quite the chef during his brief retirement. He also enjoyed sporting events, dining with friends, gardening, bowling, movies, and later in life, Chardonnay. He will be remembered for his positive attitude and bright smile. And for being the classic over-achiever. He never did anything half-way. He was wired to strive for the best, and went all-in.

Clif is survived by his loving husband and partner of 37 years, Donald Stelzer; beloved brother of Stacey (Clint) Gerretson, Robert (Mary); adoring uncle of Bobby, Karolina, Kaylee (Brent) Buschmann and Tommy Auxier; fond great uncle of Adeline and Mallory; Clif was preceded by sisters Rebecca (Auxier) and Jeanine. Clif is also survived by his extended family, Al and Karyn Brooks, sons Jon (Cheryl) and Bradly (Breanne), and grandsons Colin, Ethan and Easton. Dear friend to many, he will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
