Francis “Frank” Erdman, 83, a resident of Schaumburg since 1969 and formerly of Addison, Illinois was born on September 23, 1934 to the late Francis and the late Agnes and passed away peacefully on April 15, 2018 in Friendship Village.

Frank was a proud US Army veteran serving from 1957-1959. He enjoyed bowling, fishing in Wisconsin and working on his computer. He was the adoring husband of 50 years to Geraldine (nee Jablonski); dear brother of Christine (the late Edward) Daigle; fond uncle of James, David, Arthur and Lisa; dear friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched, including his friend John Marik.

James “Jim” D. Grant, 70, a resident of Schaumburg and formerly of Joliet and Northbrook was born on November 20, 1947 in Chicago to the late John Grant and the late Alma Grant (nee Piskorz) and passed away peacefully April 12, 2018 in Schaumburg with his loving daughter by his side.

Jim was proud to have served as a fireman for the Northbrook Fire Department, Engine #4, he was an avid fisherman and golfer, loved model trains and building scale models, particular of fire engines. Throughout his life he was considered a rugged, enthusiastic worker who would tackle anything and everything. He was always upbeat and enjoyed making others smile with his positive “have a really nice day” attitude, despite having suffered through many health issues the last few years.

He was the loving father of Tanya (Rich) Pierce, Kristen Williams and Lauren (Dan) Sturwold; fond grandfather of Dante and Bryce Williams and Audrey and Quentin Sturwold; proud great grandfather of Matthew Williams-Marban and Isaiah and Kahne Williams; dear brother of Jean Salazar, Joan Barnes, John Grant and Janet (Geoff) Cowles; beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews; dear friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Isabel Aguirre Magnani was born on January 4, 1939 and passed away on April 11, 2018 at the age of 79 in the comfort of her own home. She was born in Lima, Peru to the late Margarita and Marcelo Aguirre.

Isabel was the beloved wife of Jorge Magnani and a loving Mother to Humberto, Jorge, and Gabriella. She is survived by her husband, three kids, six grandchildren, and a great-grand son.

During her life, Isabel was a very loving wife, mother, sister and daughter. Her kind heart and brilliant spirit touched the lives of those whom she met. She will be very missed and eternally loved by her family and friends.

Linda M. Van Cuyk (nee McGarry), 66, a resident of Schaumburg for over 40 years was born on September 2, 1951 to the late Francis and the late Lucille (nee Cizek), and passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018 in Park Ridge.

Linda enjoyed owning and running the Learning Circle Pre-School for over 10 years.

She was the adoring wife of 43 years to Lonnie; loving mother of Beth Stoddard, John (Sara) and Matthew (Elisabeth); fond grandmother of Jack and Ryan; dear sister of Mary Lou (John) Hunizker and Kathy McGarry; beloved aunt and dear friend to many. Anthony was an avid basketball fan. He was an All-Conference basketball player at Schaumburg High School. He enjoyed spending time playing with his niece and nephew.

Patricia “Pat” A. Fine, 82, a resident of Sandy, UT for 4 years and formerly of Wauconda for over 50 years was born on June 18, 1935 in Chicago to the late Albert and the late Emma Wall and passed away on March 13, 2018 in Sandy, Utah. Pat graduated with a bachelor’s degree elementary education from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. She was a longtime member of Transfiguration Catholic Church in Wauconda. An avid sports fan, she loved all Chicago sports teams. She loved horseracing and going to the track or picking winners in the daily races. She enjoyed filling out NCAA basketball brackets, visiting the casino, reading, playing dice and blackjack with her friends at Cedarwood Sandy Retirement Community and dining out with family and friends.

Pat married the late Donald on June 3, 1961. She was the loving mother of Colleen (Greg) Forrester, Peggy Zember, Michael, Angela and Mark Fine; beloved grandmother of Melanie Zember; and dear friend to many in Illinois, Wisconsin and Utah. She was known by many to have been a sweet, loving friend who was always ready to have some fun. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Horst was a carpenter, proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle and an avid stamp collector. He was the adoring husband of Gerlind (nee Hoff); loving father of the late Michael and Sigrid; youngest and last surviving brother of 7; dear uncle and friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
