DALE LEE HAYE
Celebration of Life Service: To be scheduled for a later date

Dale Lee Haye finished his journey and earned his wings at the age of 70. Survived by Patricia, his wife of 49 years.

Amazing Dad of Jeffrey (Kristine), Tracy (Paul) Repmann, and Greg (Rachel). Proud Grandpa of Zachary, Emma, Amanda, Molly, and Joshua. Brother of Donald (Lynn), David (Linda), and the late Dorothy. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Dale will be remembered as a hard-working and thoughtful husband, sacrificing until the end. He was a caring and dedicated Dad, always attending sporting events and activities, giving all he could so his children could have a wonderful life. He thoroughly loved and enjoyed his grandkids and attended many baseball games, dance recitals, and cross country meets even when it was physically challenging for him to be there. He was often referred to as “Pa-pop”.

Dale was an avid Chicago sports fan, particularly of the Bears, and could be found watching the game each Sunday during the season, wearing one of many Bears shirts and eating his favorite snack of cashews. He loved traveling with his family, especially to destinations like Jamaica, Hawaii, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta. He deserves the “Best Pa-pop” award for all the trips to Disneyworld with his grandkids.

Dale had an infectious smile and touched the lives of all that he met and will be missed by so many. He was a pillar of strength, a fighter, and a self-proclaimed “tough-old bird”. He never gave up despite years of life-changing health challenges and deserves the peace and life everlasting. Fly free tough-old bird, fly free…
