GEORGE HIBEL

George “Papa” Hibel

GEORGE HIBEL
Died: July 25, 2018
Celebration of Life: Monday, July 30, 2018
3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Chandler’s, 401 North Roselle Road, Schaumburg

George “Papa” Hibel passed away on July 25th. He spent the last 75 years building a family and creating a community that will miss him greatly. He loved and was married to Patricia Hibel for 45 years. He lived long enough to see his Cubs win the World Series and his Republicans take office. He raised four kids that he was incredibly proud of: Tracy, David (Amanda), Dan (Karen) and Amy (Frank) and left behind two four legged friends Mabel and Clark that will miss the extra food he always gave to them.

Papa George had two careers, he spent 35 years working at UOP and after he retired from there, he drove a bus for another 12 years. He was most happy being an active part of his grandkids lives. You could find him at the baseball field, soccer game, or counting down the shot clock from the side of a water polo match for everyone to hear. Kailey, Sophia, Emma, Joey, Max, Connor, Austin, Alexis and Jaxon were his All Stars. Always shoot for the corners…

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you put away your money for your own kids’ futures.
