Rosemary N. Nitti (nee Roman), 92, a resident of Schaumburg for 26 years and formerly of Chicago, was born on June 18, 1923 in Chicago to the late Nicholas and the late Natalina (nee Liporita), and passed away peacefully on May 25, 2016 at her home in Schaumburg.

Rosemary was the adoring wife of 42 years to the late Joseph; loving mother of Maureen (Kenneth) Iacullo and Renaldo (Margo); dear sister of the late Eileen (Vito) Romano; fond grandmother of Nicholas, Julie, Anthony and Daniel; dear sister-in-law of the late Casmir (Marjorie), aunt and friend to many, she will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Norman was a WWII US Army Veteran who fought in the Battle of New Guinea, the Southern Philippines and Luzon, earning several Bronze Stars for his service to his country.

Richard “Bud” A. Napier, a resident of Schaumburg for 53 years and formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2016 with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. He is preceded into eternal life by his loving wife of 55 years Marinell (nee Barnett) in 2005, his great-granddaughter Lily in 2016, his parents George and Lulubell and 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughter Donna Schorn, son-in-law Michael, 3 grandsons and their families.

Bud was born in Chicago and served in the military for over 20 years in both the Navy during WWII and the Army during the Korean Conflict, earning purple hearts during his time in the service of his country. Bud and his family moved to Schaumburg in 1963 where he worked at the Marathon Gas Station in Schaumburg and later for the Village of Schaumburg. He was an active member of St. Marcelline Church and VFW Post 2202. He will always be remembered as a loving family man and a man who bravely served his country.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Fisher House Foundation, providing free/low cost housing to veterans and their families.

Evelyn V. Kline, 93, of Schaumburg, IL was born on November 19, 1922 and passed away peacefully on February 21, 2016 at Alexian Brothers Hospice, Elk Grove Village, IL.

She was the loving wife of John F. Kline who died April 5, 2007. Born in Shenandoah, PA on November 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Lottie (Bogden) Astromsky. She married husband, John, on Valentine’s Day, 1942 and they moved to the Philadelphia area where she worked as a bank teller in Hatboro and a notions buyer for Strawbridge and Clothier in Jenkintown. In 1956, she and husband John moved to the Chicago area where she worked at Wieboldt’s. In Hanover Park, IL, where she spent over 43 years and learned to drive she spent many years as a lunchroom mother at a local grammar school.

She loved her Catholic faith and cherished her membership at St. Peter Damian RC Church where husband John was an usher and they worked together helping with pancake breakfasts and other church related activities. Her favorite time of year was Halloween where she looked forward to hand making special molded candy treats for the children. Some children who attended her lunchroom who thought her candy treats were so special that many years later brought their children back for the candy.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Evelyn M. Koons, of Schaumburg, IL, brother Robert W. (Adelaide) Austra, of E. Stroudsburg, PA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother William and a sister Regina “Jean” (Edward) Madl, of Northlake, IL and son-in-law, James E. Koons.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Michaels Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Schaumburg, IL. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ at a later date.

Lorraine A. Fleisner (nee Gogola), 87, a resident of Itasca for 21 years was born on November 21, 1928, in Chicago, to the late Michael and the late Julia (nee Przewoznik) Gogola. Lorraine passed away peacefully on April 21, 2016, in Elk Grove Village.

Lorraine was a proud member of Itasca Senior Citizens Organization. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, taking her daily walks, cooking and trying new recipes.

She was the adoring wife of 42 years to the late Chuck; loving mother of Linda Rappa, Gregory, Jim and Rob (Jamie); proud grandmother of Joe, Jayson Fleisner and Carl, Eric Rappa; fond sister in law of Don (the late Angie; beloved sister of the late Matt (the late Alice) and Estelle Gogola; cherished aunt and dear friend to many.
