Edward W. Haaker (aka “Fan Man”), 93, a resident of Arlington Heights and formerly of Roselle was born on July 5, 1925 in Chicago to the late Lester and the late Lillian (nee Tess), and passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018 in Elk Grove Village.

Edward was an electrician who loved working at Oscar Mayer and was an avid fisherman.

Adoring husband of 42 years to the late Jean (nee Duddles); loving father of Ron (Kathleen) and Lori (Thomas) Pendzimaz; fond grandfather of Sheila (Steve) Whiteside, Meghan (Chuck) Grotendick, Ronald (Rosie), Patrick (Renae) Batsch-Haaker, Maureen (Edward) Packard, Jeff (Kristine) Pendzimaz, Lisa (Mike) Cimmarusti and Kimmy Pendzimaz; proud great grandfather of Kelsye and Brayden Pendzimaz, Eleanor and Isaac Cimmarusti, Andrew and Siobhan Whiteside and Molly, Mary, Mia and Anne; beloved brother of 3 preceded in death by Charles, Lester and Harlan; fond brother-in-law to Ralph (Lorraine) Duddles; loving uncle and dear friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

John was the loving husband of 49 years to Barbara (nee Repvon); adoring father of Lori (Jeff) Hinkleman and Gina (Daniel) Weber; beloved grandfather of Adam and Ryan Hinkleman, Brady Barbeau, Connor and Brianna Weber; fond brother of Charles (Susan), David (Julie) and the late Jeannie Simoneau; dear uncle and friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

The Raiman Family announces with great sadness the loss of there beloved father, Clifford E. Raiman, age 88. He was born on September 25, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank and Lydia (Wyberg), and passed away on September 21, 2018 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Clifford was the loving husband to Geraldine (Chlebowski) for 63 years, loving father of Lee (Laura), Rita (Sam) Leakakos and Ruth Shafer; dear grandfather to Clifford Leakakos, Adam and Neil; fond brother of late Shirley Kennedy; and friend to many…

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a resident of Roselle since 1959 and enjoyed working as an electrical engineer for 65 years until he retired at the age of 85. Clifford was kind hearted with a great sense of humor, smart, fair, and a non-stop lifetime learner through endless reading and listening. Clifford’s many interests include, amateur radio, sudoku, and automotive.

Charles J. Kapoun, 79, a resident of Schaumburg was born on August 10, 1939 in Berwyn to the late Charles and the late Helen (nee Majer), and passed away on September 5, 2018 in Elk Grove.

Charles was a Prior Mater Christi Parishioner and a member of the Mater Christi Holy Name Society. Charles attended to Morton High School, Morton Jr. College and Devry University. He was an electronic engineer working at the Seeburg Corporation in Chicago and at Matsushita Electric Company in Franklin Park. Charles hobbies included TV & Radio repair, backyard car mechanic, traveling, listening to country music and he loved spending time with family and friends. Charles was the former husband of Rose; loving father of Robert (Lisa) and Ann; beloved grandfather of Natalie Bologna, Shannon Castaneda and Kelly Diederich; fond brother of the late Robert and brother in law of the late Jeanne; dear friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Margaret “Peggy” J. Stafford, 95, a resident of Schaumburg was born on October 4, 1922 in Chicago to the late Richard and the late Beatrice (nee Hoel), and passed away on September 9, 2018 in Schaumburg. Peggy was a proud pioneer clinical nurse specialist and an active member of the Illinois Nurses Association. She was one of the true visionaries in the nursing profession. Peggy was a devoted catholic and a die-hard Chicago Bulls fan.

Peggy was the loving sister of Patricia (the late Robert) Shepherd and the late Beverly; beloved aunt of the late Bobby Shepherd, Beverly Rumishek, Cathy (Dave) Scarpelli, Bonnie (Rocky) Salvo, Richard (Bridget) Shepherd, Peter (Julie) Shepherd and Veronica Fritz; fond great aunt of 18; proud great-great aunt of 8; and dear friend to many. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
