Donald “Don” Mariano, 67, a resident of Schaumburg for 28 years and former resident of Water Tower Place, Chicago, was born on August 17, 1948 in Chicago to the late Mario and the late Isabel (nee Taglisferri), and passed away suddenly on September 2, 2015 at his home in Schaumburg. Don was an avid Chicago sports fan, especially of his beloved White Sox. He was a loving husband and dedicated father, a great storyteller (despite his exaggerations) and regarded as a gentle giant by all.

He was the adoring husband of 31 years to Christy (nee Washburn); loving father of Melanie and Mario; fond grandfather of Christian Gross; dear brother of Chris (Dennis) Zarembka and Patty (Jim) Boguslawski; beloved uncle of Dennis, Tricia, Lori and Jim; and dear friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched including his dogs “Cleo” and “Pip”.

Suzanne M. Neville (nee Schneider), 67, a resident of Schaumburg for 36 years and formerly of Hanover Park and Hoffman Estates, was born on August 4, 1948 in Evanston to the late Mathias and the late Elisabeth (nee Landa) and passed away peacefully September 3, 2015 in Winfield with her loving family by her side.

Sue adored her grandchildren, loved sewing in her “Joyous Yellow” sewing room, was a passionate cook and loved reading, especially Stephen King books. She was an avid Sudoku puzzle solver. She loved the outdoors and was particularly fond of flowers, especially her father’s peonies that she grew in her backyard. She was a lifelong lover of pets, including her cats.

Sue was the adoring wife of 44 years to Vince; loving mother of Christopher (Carrie), Scott and Stephanie; loving grandmother of Tatumn and Gavin; dear sister of Matt Schneider, Larry (Martha) Schneider, Barbara (Tom) Nall, Marilee (Donald) Hibner and Tim (Kathy) Schneider; dear cousin of Renee (John) Lewis; beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews; dear friend to many. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

Aleksander was proud to have worked for the Mitsubishi Corporation as a Parts Quality Assurance Manager. He was the adoring husband of Halina (nee Krasinkiewicz); loving father of Samantha (Igor) Staron of Huntley and Monika (and fiancee Gerard Turano) of Schaumburg; fond grandfather of Dominic; dear brother of Ewa (Mietek) Gatkowska, Irena and the late Janusz. He was dear friend to many and will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Jean C. Miller (nee Denemark), 65, a resident of Chicago and formerly of Elmhurst and Mt. Prospect was born on November 4, 1949 in Chicago to the late James and the late Lorraine (nee Colucci), and passed away suddenly on August 24, 2015 at her home.

Jean was employed as Principal Architect, Application and Data Security at United Airlines. She was a devoted and eternally optimistic Cubs fan who also loved the Chicago Blackhawks. She was a world traveler who enjoyed snow skiing, fishing, softball, and golfing. Passionate about music and an avid concert goer, she was a lifelong fan of the Beatles, especially John Lennon. Jean was also a talented artist from a young age. She greeted her family and friends always with warm hugs and her beautiful smile.

Jean was the dear niece of Richard (Mary) Colucci and the late Marilyn (the late Velio) Tiberi; fond cousin and friend to many. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched, especially her Boston Terrier “Gracie”.

Stephen “Steve” J. Quinn, 70, a resident of Hoffman Estates for 42 years was born on March 20, 1945 in Bronx, New York to the late Maurice and the late Mary (nee Tierney) and passed away peacefully on August 4, 2015 at his home with his loving wife and eldest son by his side.

He served 8 yrs in the United States Navy including serving aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Randolph (CVS-15). He was a member of the 50 Plus Club in Hoffman Estates and proud member of the United Airlines Retirees. He was a life-long model car builder and avid runner.

He was the adoring husband of 46 years to Susan (nee Etscheid); loving father of Kevin, Craig and Andrew; beloved brother to Michael (Linda), Eileen (George) Persico and the late Mary Ellen, dear friend to many, he will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Patricia “Pat” J. Maxwell (formerly Van Lysebettens), a resident of Brookdale Senior Living, Hoffman Estates for 7 years and formerly of Itasca and Chicago was born on February 4, 1931 in Chattanooga, TN, and passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015 in Hoffman Estates at the age of 84. Pat was an incredibly talented woman and had a real zest for life. She loved music, singing soprano in many church choirs. Her musical gifts inspired all of her sons and she encouraged them to pursue their interest in music. Pat was an artist and excelled as a ballroom dancer and as a sketch and sculpture artist. Her children were her passion and she loved her daughters-in-law as though they were her own children.

Pat was the adoring wife of 12 years to the late Clarence; loving mother of Pamela (Don) Pacholczak, Robert (Marilou) Van Lysebettens, Paul (Debra) Van Lysebettens, Kenneth (Christina) Van Lysebettens and Keith (Doris Lozano) Van Lysebettens; fond grandmother of Richard, Michael (Katie), Christopher, Stephanie, Jillian (John), Bobby, Jennifer, Jonathan and Jacqueline, Maya and Elisa; beloved aunt to many from the DeSitter and Leahy families.

Walldren, 71, a resident of Park Ridge since 1977 and formerly of Chicago was born on October 29, 1943 in Chicago to the late Bennett and the late Irma (nee Janssen) he passed away suddenly, July 31, 2015 at his home in Park Ridge. He was a proud US Marine Corps Veteran serving as a sharp shooter during the Vietnam War, an avid motorcyclist; he was an active member of the High Road Riders of Willow Creek and the Gold Wing Road Rider Association. He enjoyed horseshoes and playing pool and his Ham Radio Operator call sign was “Bear Hunter.”

Ron was the adoring Husband of 44 years to Donna (nee Garstka); loving father of Cheri(David) Rottstin and Shawn; fond brother of Harold (the late Ester), Donald (Irma) and Doug (Susan) Winchell; beloved uncle and friend to many he will be missed especially his canine friend “Missy.” Memorials can be made to American Heart Association.
