Dee loved music and animals and slot machines. She was a wonderful mother and wife. She worked hard all her life and raised 4 sons all while keeping a relaxed and comfortable home. She operated a forklift and “Cherry Picker” while working in literature distribution for Motorola and worked for United Airlines food division, often telling stories of driving up and down O’hare runways with aircraft taking off and landing around her.

Dee was the adoring wife of 33 years to her soul mate Oakley Colwell; loving mother of Steven, Michael, Dale and Johnny; fond grandmother of 7; dear sister of 4 and beloved aunt to many. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched and especially by her feline friend “Ace” or as Dee affectionately called him “Trouble”.
