Kurt Eichhorn, 60, a resident of Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates since 2002 and formerly of Harwood Heights was born on December 16, 1953 in Chicago to Matthias and Frances (nee Whitman), and passed away suddenly January 30, 2014 at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Kurt was proud to have served in the US Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class during the Vietnam War.  He loved to “Live Free”, regularly hiking the Cascade Mountains in Oregon and riding his motorcycle, especially fundraising for the Toys for Tots Foundation.

Kurt was the adoring husband of 10 years to Deborah (nee Botts); loving father of Robert (Lakisha) Partridge, Samantha (Eric, Sr.) Green, Stephanie (Litshaun) Degraffenreid; dear grandfather of 11, fond brother of 6, beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews; friend to many, he will be missed by his 3 dogs and 2 cats and all those whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kurt’s name to the Toys for Tots Foundation, www.toysfortots.org.

James “Jim” George Troska was born August 22, 1946 in East Chicago, Indiana to the late George and the late Virginia (nee Nowakowski) and passed away peacefully on January 29, 2014 at his home.

Jim was proud to have earned a B.S. and an M.S degree with a concentration in mathematics from Purdue University. A former teacher at Hammond High School, Jim went on to work in Information Technology with [Acxiom], later retiring from Discover Card. Jim was an avid Chicago sports fan, his most cherished memory was attending Game 2 of the 2005 World Series with his sons.

Jim was the adoring husband of 26 years to the late Mary Ann (nee Makaneski); loving father of Christopher, Nicholas and Jeffrey; fond brother of Raymond (Jean); he will be missed by his dear friend and college roommate Jack Arnold and all those whose lives he touched.

Dolores “Dee” M. Fank, 83, a resident of Roselle for 52 years, was born on March 25, 1930 in Chicago and passed away peacefully on January 17, 2014 in Elk Grove Village with her loving husband Oakley by her side.

Dee loved music and animals and slot machines. She was a wonderful mother and wife. She worked hard all her life and raised 4 sons all while keeping a relaxed and comfortable home. She operated a forklift and “Cherry Picker” while working in literature distribution for Motorola and worked for United Airlines food division, often telling stories of driving up and down O’hare runways with aircraft taking off and landing around her.

Dee was the adoring wife of 33 years to her soul mate Oakley Colwell; loving mother of Steven, Michael, Dale and Johnny; fond grandmother of 7; dear sister of 4 and beloved aunt to many. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched and especially by her feline friend “Ace” or as Dee affectionately called him “Trouble”.

Donald was the adoring husband of Marilyn (nee Koffler); loving father of Michael, Michelle (James) Schoebel, and Mark (Kathy); fond grandfather of Kailey, Annie, Marlena, Morgan and Ethan; dear brother of Barbara (the late William) Brinlee and Joan (the late James) Schwartz; beloved uncle and friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
