A resident of Schaumburg for 10 years and formerly of the Northwest side of Chicago, Eric has born on December 19, 1930 to the late Sven and the late Karen (nee Carlson), and passed away peacefully on March 8, 2014 in Elk Grove. Eric was loved by everyone that met him. He was a hard-working and loyal employee for Mead Fluid Dynamics for over 45 years.

Eric was the adoring husband of 62 years to Carol (nee Sorenson); loving father of Donald Eric (Marci), Sharon Ann (Danny) Martensen and Debra Lorina (Keith) LaPiana; fond grandfather of Jason and Brian Jimenez, Justin (Kristina), Jessica and Erica LaPiana, Lauren (Tony) Brinkman, Scott Martensen and Donald; proud great grandfather of Eric LaPiana and Evangeline Jimenez; fond brother of the late Ernie and the late Grace Mengar; dear uncle and friend to many. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Anna Kruse (nee Drochner), 92, a resident of Hoffman Estates was born on December 11, 1921 in Lithuania to the late Gottfried and the late Auguste (nee Odau) and passed away peacefully on February 23, 2014. She loved tending to her garden and spending time with her many grandchildren.

Anna was the adoring wife of the late Peter; loving mother of the late Fred Drochner, Anita (the late John) Freling, Maria Kruse and Edgar (Sandy)Kruse; fond grandmother of Renee, Adam, Stefanie (Chris), Jay (Danielle), Christopher, Michael (Lindsey), Peter (Robia), Ryan, Brittany (Jason), Stephen, Mikayla, Savannah, Cassy, Olivia and Emma; proud great grandmother of Brianna, Makayla, Matthew, Ryder, Leah, Tristian, Gabriel, Zoe and Quinn; dear sister of 6, she is survived by her sister Lena; beloved aunt to Ed (Martha) Drochner, Herta (the late Eduard) Mueller, Edith (Frank) Albers, Harry (Hilda) Drochner, Erika (the late James) Napier, and Erich (Joann) Drochner and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

He was proud to have worked in his family’s business, Don & Angie’s Pizzeria in Glen Ellyn and as a member of the US Steelworkers Union at Precision Steel for 35 years.

Mario was the adoring husband of 56 years to Lorraine (nee Martin); loving father of Anne Marie, Laura Ann and Rose Marie; doting grandfather of Amanda Shari; dear brother of the late Peter and the late Charles; beloved step-brother of Lawrence Balsamo and Michelle Pyle-Balsamo.  He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Kurt Eichhorn, 60, a resident of Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates since 2002 and formerly of Harwood Heights was born on December 16, 1953 in Chicago to Matthias and Frances (nee Whitman), and passed away suddenly January 30, 2014 at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Kurt was proud to have served in the US Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class during the Vietnam War.  He loved to “Live Free”, regularly hiking the Cascade Mountains in Oregon and riding his motorcycle, especially fundraising for the Toys for Tots Foundation.

Kurt was the adoring husband of 10 years to Deborah (nee Botts); loving father of Robert (Lakisha) Partridge, Samantha (Eric, Sr.) Green, Stephanie (Litshaun) Degraffenreid; dear grandfather of 11, fond brother of 6, beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews; friend to many, he will be missed by his 3 dogs and 2 cats and all those whose lives he touched.

James “Jim” George Troska was born August 22, 1946 in East Chicago, Indiana to the late George and the late Virginia (nee Nowakowski) and passed away peacefully on January 29, 2014 at his home.

Jim was proud to have earned a B.S. and an M.S degree with a concentration in mathematics from Purdue University. A former teacher at Hammond High School, Jim went on to work in Information Technology with [Acxiom], later retiring from Discover Card. Jim was an avid Chicago sports fan, his most cherished memory was attending Game 2 of the 2005 World Series with his sons.

Jim was the adoring husband of 26 years to the late Mary Ann (nee Makaneski); loving father of Christopher, Nicholas and Jeffrey; fond brother of Raymond (Jean); he will be missed by his dear friend and college roommate Jack Arnold and all those whose lives he touched.
