A traditional funeral service is thought to be a beneficial way to begin the grieving process. It is usually held shortly after the death and includes a visitation where family and friends come to pay their respect and share memories of the deceased. This may include either an open or closed casket.
A religious service is usually held the day after the visitation. It can take place at the funeral home, church, graveside or can be held at another location the family requests.
There is a final disposition with either burial or cremation following. This service can be personalized in a number of different ways including family photos or videos, music, candlelight displays or an offering of personal belongings.
